JESSE LORUSSO

Lead Dance Instructor/ Studio Owner 

 

Jesse Lorusso began dancing at a young age. He has taken classes and workshops by dance instructors such as Joanne Chapman, Blake McGrath, Mandy Moore, Abby Lee Miller, Denise Duncan Wall, Bengt Jorgen, Clea Iverson, Derek Sangster, Dana Chapman Carroll and Jessie Chapman Carroll. Jesse received his Ontario College Certificate from George Brown College, ran under the direction of Canada’s Ballet Jorgen in Commercial Dance Studies. He performed in Canada’s Ballet Jorgen production of Romeo and Juliet at Betty Oliphant Theatre in Toronto, ON. He also performed for The Walt Disney Company. Jesse holds his Associate Teaching Diploma in Freestyle Dance and Ballet through The British Association of Teachers of Dancing (B.A.T.D.) He has put over twenty students through B.A.T.D. Ballet exams. Many of his students have received Highly Commended and Honours on their exam marks. Jesse has also had students receive high scores at local dance competitions. He also holds his Module One Certificate through Acrobatic Arts Certification. Jesse has appeared in music videos for Blake McGrath and BBOSS and has been seen on the television series The Stanley Dynamic and Reign. Jesse enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities, and loves seeing how excited his students are when they progress in their dance technique. 

JENNIFER ADAMS-SMITH

Co-Lead Dance Instructor/ Studio Manager

Jennifer Adams-Smith has been dancing for many years. Jennifer has experience in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics, Hip Hop and Contemporary. Jennifer has taken Ballet Exams through The British Association of Teachers of Dancing (B.A.T.D.) She has assisted in putting over twenty students through B.A.T.D. Ballet exams. Jennifer has a strong passion for teaching young children. She holds her Ontario College Diploma in Early Childhood Education through Fanshawe College and was on the Dean’s Honour Roll. After graduating she worked for Pluto Day Care in Kitchener, ON for five years. Jennifer holds a Teaching Certificate in AcroDance Pre School Certification, ran under the direction of Acrobatics Arts. She also received one hundred percent on the practical and written exam. Jennifer has been trained to facilitate the development of children. She is dedicated to teaching the developing child first and the dancer second. She is passionate about meeting every child’s individual needs at their current developmental stage. Her goal is to help students reach developmental milestones in a positive, encouraging and nurturing environment. She has created a syllabus that allows students to learn dance steps appropriate for their age with the use of games, props and toys to enhance the child’s experience in dance.
